Who can use the Forces Help to Buy?

Regular armed forces personal that meet the required criteria can take advantage of the Armed Forces Help to Buy scheme. This is available whether this is to buy their first property , or to move further up the property ladder.


How does Armed Forces Help to Buy work?

The scheme allows qualifying personnel to take a loan of up to 50% of their yearly salary from the Ministry of Defence. The maximum forces help to buy loan is £25,000 amd the loan must be repaid to the Ministry of Defence in monthly instalments.

This loan can then be used to towards the deposit, the solicitor's or estate agent's fees. If you are buying a new build property then the option to combine forces help to buy with the help to buy equity loan is available
